Steve Jennings will be “a calming influence” on the Warrington Town team after he agreed to join the club for this season, manager Paul Carden says.

The vastly experienced midfielder has been training with Yellows during pre-season and featured in their friendlies against Wythenshawe Town and Accrington Stanley as a trialist.

Jennings had a successful loan spell with Town during the 2017-18 campaign and spent last season playing in the National League with Barrow.

Carden now says the entire squad will benefit from the know-how the 35-year-old has picked up from spells with the likes of Coventry City, Motherwell and Tranmere Rovers.
