Nuneaton Town boss Tommy Wright has stressed the importance of the month ahead as we face three big League games and an FA Trophy tie against higher level opposition.
With six straight wins under our belt, confidence is high and there is a real feel-good factor around The Coombe Abbey Arena as we step into 2017 in upbeat mood.
“The month ahead is really going to shape our season,” admitted Wright. “We know what we have to do and we’re looking forward to the challenge that stands before us both in the League and the FA Trophy.
“It’s been a case of picking up the lads’ confidence since I have been in charge; they needed to buy into something new and they have certainly responded well to the work that we have done so far.
“We’ve worked hard on our shape and we’ve been able to come up with answers to the questions posed to us in our games so far.
“We are tightening the screw with each game. It’s about continuing to do the right things and keep this group together because we have a lot of quality here.”
The supporters too have an important role to play in our ongoing progression.
“Our young fans have been terrific in their vocal backing,” he added. “Like the players, they are buying into what we are trying to achieve here and everyone is together and enjoying it.
“There are smiles on faces and long may it continue. We need the supporters right behind us as we go forward.”
Boro travel to Darlington and Kidderminster Harriers this month as well as playing host to Brackley Town and Guiseley in the Buildbase FA Trophy.
