Leamington’s home game with Alfreton Town tomorrow is set to go ahead.

The Brakes saw their fixture at the weekend with Chorley postponed following a player testing positive for COVID-19 on the morning of the game.

The National League North club have today given an update: “A review was conducted by the club and our Chief Medical Officer (CMO). That identified that only one other player had been in close proximity to the player who tested positive and both players have now entered a period of self-isolation.

“Following consultation between the National League, their CMO and our club’s CMO, it has been agreed that the remainder of the squad and team management can continue training and playing. Therefore, Brakes’ scheduled fixture at home to Alfreton Town on Tuesday 17th goes ahead as scheduled.”
