Torquay United manager Kevin Nicholson has strongly criticised his players after their 2-0 loss at Guiseley.
The Gulls boss says he will make drastic changes after the result, which extended the club’s winless run in all competitions to eight games.
“I’m absolutely disgusted with the first half and really feel let down by the group of players,” Nicholson wrote on his Facebook page.
The defeat left them 19th in the table, just two points above the bottom four.
“I feel totally and completely let down by a group that I’m backing and backing,” he told BBC Radio Devon.
Having had a week off after their FA Cup fourth qualifying round loss to Woking, Nicholson had felt confident going into the game.
“If you’d have seen them over the last two weeks, what they do in training and what they do in games at the moment are completely different,” said Nicholson.
“Obviously we’ve got to make changes, obviously we’ve got to bring some reinforcements in and we’ve worked very hard for two weeks on that, unfortunately a few fell through at the last minute.
“This is going to be a big week for me, for the club and a big week for shaping the team that are going to go out and play against Wrexham next week – anybody that played today will find themselves very fortunate to be playing next week.”
