Torquay United bring the curtain down on our home fixtures on Saturday with the visit of Barrow.

There is sure to be a large and vocal crowd in attendance for the visit of Paul Cox’s mid-table side as we celebrate securing our National League status.1024px-Torquay United FC.svg1

“It’s nice to have accomplished our main goal, but the season is not finished yet and we want to end as high as we can in the table,” said player-manager, Kevin Nicholson. “The lads need to enjoy this feeling because they have worked so hard to get us into this position.

“At the same time they also need to realise that next season we have to push-on and make sure that we are celebrating for the right reasons.

“There will be a lot of people here on Saturday and we need to be able to send them home happy. We have to make sure that we continue to do what we’ve been doing so well recently.

“It’s a big game and there will be a great atmosphere; we’re looking forward to it and I’m sure Paul Cox will want to do well here too.

“The players have showed what they are capable of and now we need to see it through in these final two games. now.

“We have to continue working hard and showing the right attitude so that we are ready for the challenge that Barrow will present to us.

“We’ll make sure that we show the fans our appreciation because they have been absolutely superb all season and the best way for us to do that is by getting a victory.”

Nicholson will be without the services of skipper, Angus MacDonald, who is suspended.
