Joint-manager Martyn Rogers has shared his thoughts on Pete Buxton’s decision to stand down as Tiverton Town chairman.
He said: “I would just like to say how chuffed I was to have Pete not only as my best mate, but to manage the team for him was an absolute pleasure. I’ll never forget his face and reaction when we beat Taunton and Salisbury to get promotion.
“Pete rarely shows any emotion, especially around football, but I think those two games nearly brought a tear to his eye. We certainly enjoyed our few days in Spain where we spent our end-of-season get-together.
“Can I say you won’t get a more hard-working Chairman in football? He is relentless.”
