Whitley Bay manager Marc Nash has been appointed as the new manager of North Shields FC.
Nash brings with him former North Shields boss Anthony Woodhouse as his assistant and Chris Moore as coach. The trio have been in charge of Whitley Bay since November 2016, with Nash catching the eye as a very successful manager of their reserves team before earning promotion to first-team manager.
He won 33 of his 66 games in charge, an excellent 50% win ratio, with 16 draws during his tenure. Woodhouse was manager of North Shields from 2009-2012 before re-joining the Seahorses, whilst Chris Moore was an FA Vase winner with Whitley Bay in 2009.
Chairman Alan Matthews said: “We’re delighted to make these appointments. All three have a wealth of experience and are aware of our hopes for the future of the club.
“I’d like to personally extend a warm welcome to all of them.”
Nash replaces manager Brian Smith, who resigned from his position this week.
