North Shields have announced the singing of David Hall from Whitley Bay.

Manager Marc Nash told the club’s website: “Davie is a player I’ve always admired. He played for me as an 18-year-old and became an integral part of the way my teams played with his passing range and ability.

“He progressed through the ranks at Whitley Bay but has found opportunities limited this season. We identified that his qualities will benefit us so we are delighted he’s decided to join and at 24 years old he is approaching his best years.”

Hall said: “The attraction for me was the quality of the squad. Definitely a project going forward I want to be a part of.

“The style of play suits me and I can definitely learn a lot off the experienced players here. I’m looking forward to playing for another big club and hopefully can add something to the squad.”

Attacking midfielder Ben Richardson, meanwhile, has moved in the opposite direction.
