North Shields say Chris Salmon has joined the club for the 2019/20 season.
The former Gateshead, York City and Whitley Bay youngster joins the Robins after spending last season with Division 1 rivals Bishop Auckland.
Whilst at the Two Blues, he suffered an injury which ruled him out of contention for the remainder of that season.
Salmon is another versatile addition to the club as the winger is also able to play in defence and has even been known to start up front on occasion.
Marc Nash was delighted to have brought another familiar face to the club.
“We signed him at Whitley Bay from Billingham Synthonia back in 2017 and last year he was at Bishops but sustained an injury before the end of the season,” said Nash.
“He’s only just returning from that injury so won’t be available for a couple of weeks I suspect.”
Nash added: “The squad has been running a little thin of late. With Gary Day being a long term injury and Jordan Summerly also still a few weeks away it only takes a couple to be away or unavailable then we down to the bones.”
