Mark Goldberg has insisted it doesn’t feel the right time to step down as Welling manager.

The Wings have gone five games without a win in National League South – failing to find the net in any of those matches.

It’s led to some sections of Welling fans to suggest Goldberg – also the club’s chairman – should step aside, but he believes he can still turn things around.

“We hear the boos and we hear ‘Goldberg out’ and this and that,” said the Welling manager.

“In 12 years in management I’ve heard it a lot. Everyone has their time when things don’t go well and it’s how you get back up really.”
