Notts County midfielder Casper Sloth has left the club.

The former Leeds United player, capped eight times by Denmark, joined the National League side back in August.

The club have today explained: “The midfielder, who has been building up his fitness after sustaining an injury in pre-season and as a result was not part of our squad for Saturday’s opening-day trip to Dover, notified us of his wish to leave Meadow Lane earlier this week as he has failed to settle in the area.

“Following further discussions with Neal Ardley and the club, his contract has been terminated and he is free to find a new club.”
