Notts County defender Alex Lacey has shared his admiration for the community around the club.

Speaking to fans via Nottinghamshire Live, he said: “Those of you who are on social media or who have been watching the news will be aware that a few of the boys, the manager and club legend Les Bradd have been ringing supporters who have been nominated as deserving of a ‘pick-me-up’ phone call.

“I’ve spoken to five or six myself about the season so far, but more importantly to find out how they are coping during these unprecedented times.

“It’s been brilliant to engage with them and I hope that it has brought a few smiles to faces in such difficult and challenging circumstances for us all.”
