Stockport County’s scheduled fixture at Notts County this Wednesday has been postponed after Stockport reported a positive COVID test in the squad.
County have said in a statement:
“As a result of the positive test, that player is now isolating, whilst the rest of the players and coaching staff have today undergone tests of their own, and will also now isolate whilst we await the results.
“As this could take anywhere between 24-48 hours, the decision has been made to postpone Wednesday’s fixture in order to minimise the risk of further infection.
“Once all results have been received, further discussions between our medical staff and the National League will take place in order determine when the squad will return to first-team action.
“A new date for the game at Notts County will be announced in due course.”
