Notts County have today been given a three-week extension over an unpaid tax bill.

Appearing at the High Court, Notts were facing a winding-up petition from HMRC due to a debt of at least £250,000.

This morning, though, the club were given an additional three weeks to address the situation. The takeover scenario at Notts is ongoing, with a Danish consortium believed to be the only group currently in the running.

Owner Alan Hardy had said earlier this month that he was ‘extremely confident’ of completing a sale before today’s hearing.
