Notts County have swooped for Blyth Spartans’ top scorer Callum Roberts.
The 22-year-old wide player signed for Blyth in August, having been with Newcastle United for 14 years.
Since linking up with Lee Clark’s National League North side, Roberts has scored 17 goals in 25 games, in what has been a difficult season for Spartans.
In his time at Newcastle, Roberts debuted for the Magpies as a 17-year-old against Leicester City in the FA Cup. He also spent time on loan at Gateshead, Kilmarnock (under Lee Clark) and Colchester United.
