Notts County winger Callum Roberts has signed a new deal with the club.
The former Newcastle United prospect’s extended deal takes him through to the end of the 2022/23 campaign. The 23-year-old signed for Notts back in January after a hugely impressive few months with Blyth Spartans in the National League North.
Roberts has scored eight times for the Magpies so far, including memorable efforts in last season’s National League play-offs.
Manager Neal Ardley told the club’s website: “This gives Cal the knowledge that he’s committed here and that he can focus on helping this club get into the leagues above.
“You have to protect the asset and at the same time make the player feel like he’s part of a longer-term project. Put the two together and that’s where we are.
“If he does attract interest from elsewhere, the club’s in a strong position.”
