Notts County will this week receive the remainder of the Football League’s basic award parachute payment in one lump sum instead of instalments, as a result of the coronavirus outbreak.
The EFL has drawn up emergency measures designed to financially help clubs through the crisis after they were deprived of crucial matchday income because fixtures were postponed until the end of April.
But Notts are also included in those plans because clubs who are relegated into the National League are entitled to £607,000 in parachute payments for their first season outside the EFL.
