Notts County will be without defender Damien McCrory for the next three games, after the club failed to overturn his red card at Eastleigh, Nottinghamshire Live report.

The Magpies submitted video evidence of the defender’s 50/50 challenge in the 1-0 defeat on Monday, hoping the Football Association would grant the former Burton defender a reprieve.

But a panel found that referee Carl Brook had made the correct decision much to the frustration of Ardley who is also without midfielder Michael Doyle to suspension.

McCrory will now miss Saturday’s game against Barnet and next Tuesday’s trip to Harrogate, and Ardley said he was surprised by the decision not to look at Notts’ evidence.
