Notts County have confirmed that their transfer embargo has now been lifted.

It comes after the completion at the end of last week of Alexander and Christoffer Reedtz’ takeover of the club from Alan Hardy. Magpies boss Neal Ardley has been speaking of his desire to bring in a number of new faces before the National League season gets underway this weekend.

Notts begin life in non-league with a trip to Eastleigh. The club have just tweeted confirmation of the embargo being lifted:

We’re delighted to say we’ve received confirmation from @TheNationalLge that our transfer embargo has been lifted!

The news comes as a result of us settling all outstanding payments to HMRC, staff, players and football and trade creditors.

Onwards and upwards! 🖤
