Wrexham boss Dean Keates admits the current campaign can’t be allowed to go on forever and he would have no problem with football chiefs scrapping the season.
Action in the fifth tier has been suspended because of the coronavirus pandemic but the National League have asked the Football Association to help “close the season as soon as possible”.
However, the Premier League and EFL campaign has been extended ‘indefinitely’ but Wrexham boss Keates agrees with England captain Harry Kane who thinks the season should be cancelled if it cannot be completed by the end of June.
“I totally agree with that,” said Keates. “It needs to get to a point where you say that is it unfortunately and this is how it is going to have to be.”
