Nuneaton Borough have confirmed the signing of experienced centre-half Keith Lowe.
Lowe joins the Boro’ after impressing during two trial matches; the defeat at Basford United on the 3G and the 6-0 victory against Hinckley AFC.
“I’ve signed because it’s a good club who are doing things the right way,” said Lowe. “Promotion is the aim for the season and, from what I’ve seen, we have a great squad to compete with.”
A graduate of Wolverhampton Wanderers’ academy, Lowe has played over 100 times at Conference level, and made almost 200 more appearances in the EFL. After joining Macclesfield, the 33-year-old defender helped them to promotion to the EFL, winning the National League title on the way and playing every minute of every game.
“I’ve been looking for an experienced centre-half and in Keith I’ve found just the man,” said manager Jimmy Ginnelly. “You can see by his CV that he’s been there and done it all.
“His experience is going to play a massive part in my team. He’s a leader around the dressing room and if he can inspire the younger lads around him then we’ll all be happy around Liberty Way.”
