Nuneaton Borough have signed midfielder James Wesolowski and goalkeeper Joslain Mayebi.
Former Leicester City and Oldham midfielder Wesolowski makes the switch from league rivals Guiseley after spending two years with The Lions. The Australian made his Leicester City debut in 2006 after a long injury lay-off and became a regular during the 2007/08 season before loan spells with Cheltenham Town, Dundee United and Hamilton Academical.
After signing with Peterborough United in 2010, Wesolowski joined Oldham Athletic the following season and won several individual awards during the 2013-14 season in League One before moving onto Shrewsbury Town in 2014.
Wesolowski then made the step down to non-league football to find regular game time with Guiseley in 2016 and will be hoping to make a big impact in his first season in the National League North.
The 31-year old Cameroonian keeper Mayebi returns to the UK after a spell with South African side Royal Eagles. A youth player at FC Metz in France, Mayebi has gone on to play in Cyprus, Israel and the Faroe Islands whilst being called up on three occasions for the national team’s Summer Olympics, a World Cup Qualifier and the African Cup of Nations tournament.
An FA Trophy medallist with Wrexham, Mayebi will be adding to the competition of gaining the number one shirt during the season having kept 33 clean sheet during three seasons with the Welsh club in all competitions.
