Nuneaton Borough have announced that Lewis Freestone’s loan from Peterborough United has been extended until January.

The 18 year-old played in every game during the first month of his loan, appearing seven times in the starting line-up after signing shortly after the Ashton United match.

“We’re happy to extend the loan,” said assistant manager Lee Fowler. “He is willing to learn and has good qualities.

“He shows that players are willing to drop down and play games at this level. It’s great for him with (manager) Nicky (Eaden) being a full-back in his career.

“We can help grow him as a player and person.”
