Nuneaton Town boss Tommy Wright has given his verdict on their 1-0 defeat at League leaders Brackley Town.

“There was not much in it,” he said. “One goal was always going to be enough to win it and unfortunately for us, it was Brackley who got it, although it was a great strike from the lad.

“We’re getting punished at the moment but I didn’t feel that we created enough tonight.

“The lads are feeling sorry for themselves, but we have to be able to pick ourselves up, dust ourselves down and be ready to go again at York on Saturday.

“We’re missing key players and it’s hurting us right now. There were a few positives to take from the game; Dean Lyness made some good saves and I challenged the lads at half-time to step up their performance in the second half, which they did.”
