Vanarama National League North club Nuneaton Town have answered press speculation regarding their future.
The Boro released a statement on their website on Wednesday afternoon to announce that they are in talks with a potential buyer for the club and had entered into a confidentiality agreement.
The statement read “Following recent questions from both the media and supporters relating to the future direction of Nuneaton Town FC, we would like to advise the following.
For some time negotiations have been taking place with another party to take full control of both the club and stadium, which we hope will be concluded within the next four weeks.
At the present time we are unable to offer further information on the purchasers due to a confidentiality agreement between the parties.
We would, however, like to reassure supporters that the proposed investors are looking to not only progress the first team, but also develop the structure of the clubs other teams.
They are very keen to engage supporters and the local community and develop the role the club has with businesses and the people of Nuneaton.
Due to the constraints of the agreement we cannot go into further detail at this time, but we will make further announcements in due course”
