Nuneaton Town are mourning the passing of former favourite Malcolm Allen.
He was part of the Boro team that enjoyed some FA Cup adventures in the 1960s and remained a regular visitor to the club despite suffering ill health last season.
“In the short time that I knew him, he was always keen to talk about Boro and the mutual friends that we shared,” said Chairman, Lee Thorn. “He was a regular in the Sponsors’ Lounge and followed the fortunes of the club closely.
“As a player he wore the shirt with pride and passion and that continued throughout his life.
“It’s a sad loss for us all and we send our condolences to his family and friends.”
