Kayode Odejayi, who became a big favourite with Guiseley fans in his first season with the club, has signed a new contract.

Since joining the Lions after leaving Stockport County at the end of the 2016/17 season, Odejayi made 41 appearances last season and is held in high regard by his fellow players.

The veteran striker has made over 600 appearances over the course of his career, the highlights of which are a cap for the Nigerian national team and scoring the goal for Barnsley which knocked Chelsea out of the FA Cup in 2008.

Odejayi, who is a personal trainer outside of football and is doing his Level 4 qualification in strength and conditioning, has also agreed to assist the coaching team with a strength and conditioning programme over the course of the season.
