Felixstowe & Walton United’s joint-manager Kevin O’Donnell has resigned.

His side were beaten 4-0 at home to Canvey Island in the Bostik North at the weekend. Felixstowe & Walton United are currently in 12th place in the table after 16 games.

O’Donnell received a presentation before the game in recognition of his 300 games in charge. However, he also resigned prior to the game, which the players are not said to have known about at the time.

He tweeted the following on his decision:

Well all good things must come to an end, this morning I resigned my position as Manager at @Felixseasiders making today my last game, what a ride it’s been over the last 6 years, thank you to all the players, staff, fans and committee it’s been an absolute pleasure 🔴⚪️🔴⚪️🔴⚪️
