With three games of the season remaining, Guiseley joint-manager Russ O’Neill says his side are ready to take points over Easter to boost their survival hopes, the Telegraph & Argus report.

The Lions travel to the North East to face eighth-placed Blyth Spartans tomorrow before they host 18th-placed Darlington on Easter Monday in the Vanarama National League North.

O’Neill said he and Bignot have had to make decisions with the best interests of the club at heart as they dealt with the hangover from last season’s relegation.

“Did we want to be in this position at the start of the season? No. There are a lot of full-time clubs in a similar position to us in this league.

“The amount of stuff we have had to deal with off the field this season has been unbelievable.”
