Barrow have confirmed the return to the club of Paul Ogden as chief scout, as well as issuing an update on their search for a new manager.

This statement has been posted on the Bluebirds’ website:

‘Following the departure of Ady Pennock & Jamie Day, we have been working diligently to find the next management team for Barrow AFC.

To that end, the club have brought back Paul Ogden to act as Chief Scout. With his extensive experience and football network, Paul will be involved in both player recruitment and in our search for the new manager.

We will be working as quickly as possible given the importance of having a settled first team management team in place for pre-season, but must take our time to perform a thorough search to identify the top candidate. Similar to our player recruitment this summer, we will be looking for candidates who have the ethics and values that match ours as a club. We want to do our due diligence to find a management team that understands the new direction that we want to go in, and who will work hard to make this club as good as it can be.

Applications will continue to be accepted through the rest of this week, with face to face interviews conducted after that with candidates who make the shortlist.
A further update will be provided as and when information is available, keep an eye on our website and social media channels for the latest news.’
