Jamie O’Hara believes latest arrival Femi Akinwande will take Billericay Town ‘to the next level’.
Akinwande has joined Billericay from National League South rivals Braintree Town.
And player-manager O’Hara admits he was keen to bring Akinwande – who counts Concord Rangers among his former clubs – to New Lodge after seeing the impressive frontman cause problems in Billericay’s 3-2 victory over Braintree in August.
“I’ve been a big admirer of Femi since playing against him early in the season,” said O’Hara, whose side’s FA Trophy third qualifying round tie with Hampton & Richmond Borough was postponed due to a waterlogged pitch on Saturday.
“He has set the league alight with his dynamic play and by scoring great goals.”
