Vanarama National League North club Kidderminster Harriers have confirmed Ousmane Fane has joined SkyBet League One side Oldham Athletic.
The clubs have agreed a deal worth up to £50,000 initially for the player, with Harriers hoping to benefit from future incentives that have been agreed in the deal.
Fane joined Harriers during the January transfer window after a spell with Lyn Oslo in Norway and made twenty appearances for the club.
His form had attracted interest from the Football League, with SkyBet Championship club Birmingham City rumoured to showing a strong interest in the French midfielder.
However, it is Oldham Athletic that have won the race to secure his signature.
Harriers Chairman Colin Gordon told the club’s website “We’re naturally sorry to lose a player of Ousmane’s talent but with Oldham’s interest it was quite clear that he himself saw his future as being away from Kidderminster.
“That being the case, we’ve agreed a deal that suits the club for him to move on, and our focus now switches immediately back to the squad here and focusing on Saturday’s first game of the league season.”
