Boston United have completed the signing of highly-rated utility player Jack Broadhead from Evo-Stik Northern Premier League Premier Division side Mickleover Sports on a contract until the summer of 2018.
The 22-year-old, who is capable of playing at centre-half or in the centre of midfield, sealed his move to The Jakemans Stadium late on transfer deadline day.
Broadhead began his senior career with Chesterfield, spending two seasons as a professional at the Proact Stadium while also enjoying loan spells in non-League football with the likes of Buxton, Worksop Town, Matlock Town and Frickley Athletic.
He is eligible to make his United debut against Salford City tomorrow.
Meanwhile, midfielder Joe Fitzpatrick has left Boston by mutual consent after terminating his non-contract registration with the Pilgrims.
The 19-year-old made five appearances in Amber & Black after switching from AFC Telford United at the tail end of 2016.
He linked up with Telford again ahead of the transfer deadline.
