Colwyn Bay have secured the signing of former Liverpool and Stoke City utility player Connor Roberts-Nurse, but have sadly lost top scorer John Marsden to Stockport County.
The 22-year-old Wrexham-based Roberts-Nurse was at Liverpool and Stoke at Under-18 level and has signed from Trafford after spells with Tranmere, Wrexham, Tamworth and Marine.
“He is a right-sided played with power and pace, who likes to get forward and will bring a new dimension to our play,” said manager Kevin Lynch.
Clearance has come through for him to be involved in Saturday’s home game against Whitby Town (weather permitting).
The manager, however, admits he is disappointed to have lost top scorer Marsden.
“John has been great and it has been a pleasure working with him,” he said. “I would love to have worked with him a lot longer, but this is a great opportunity for him to step up a level and we couldn’t stand in his way.
“I’m sure he will do well at Stockport and we wish him all the very best.”
Marsden joins ex-Bay boss Neil Young at County having played 21 times for the Seagulls since signing in September and scoring six goals.
Meanwhile the manager is hoping to bring in a couple more players over the next week.
“We are working so hard to bring in more players who will enhance us and help take us forward, and hopefully we will have some more news on that next week,” he added.
