Margate have confirmed that the loan of Lewis Ward has been terminated to allow the goalkeeper to return to Championship side Reading to continue his recovery from a muscle injury sustained whilst with the Blues.
Ward joined Gate on an initial six-month loan deal in August and was a regular in the side until sustaining the injury in the club`s 2-2 away draw at Harrow Borough in the Emirates FA Cup.
Meanwhile, Margate have signed midfielder Charles Banya (pictured).
The 23-year-old, who started his career with Fulham and played for Woking on loan whilst on the Cottagers` books, moved to Crawley Town in the summer of 2014 and played nine League games without troubling the scorer.
He had a second loan spell with the Cards in January 2015 and the following November, signed for Maidstone United, who he helped to promotion from the National League South, playing sixteen games for the Stones.
He left in the summer, initially suggesting he wanted to play nearer his London home.
