Southport manager Andy Preece has brought Luton Town goalkeeper Craig King in on loan.
The 19-year-old, who has first-team experience with the Hatters, joins up with the Sandgrounders` squad for tomorrow’s away fixture at Maidstone United.
Preece has released goalkeeper Mason Springthorpe with the manager saying: “Due to the signing of Craig, which would have left us with three goalkeepers, I believe it was in best interests of Mason to be given the opportunity to go and play games at this point of his career.
“Mason has been a great professional since I came into the club, due to the position we`re are in I’ve had to make decisions quickly. I wish Mason all the best in his future career and we may work together again. He deserves to be an established number one at a club”.
