King’s Lynn Town striker Ryan Harnwell has signed a one year contract with the club.
The youngster broke into the first team towards the end of the season following some impressive performances for the reserves. In the process he notched his first senior goal in a 1–1 draw with Frome Town at The Walks in April.
Speaking to www.kltown.co.uk after signing his first contract Ryan said ‘I am under no illusions about how tough next season will be.
It was a huge challenge to make the breakthrough into the first team last season and now to try a keep a shirt with the extra new talent we have at the club will be a huge ask.
It will be difficult but it’s a challenge I want to meet and I’m going to meet it head on. It may sound strange but I really enjoy pre season and all that entails so It’s fair to say July 1st cannot come quick enough for me! Ian’s training methods are different to what I have been use to but in a good way in my opinion with things being done in a professional way.
Ian gave me a chance last season and it’s now up to me to reward the faith he has shown in me. The award of the contract is a big thing for me, It has made me feel a bigger part of the club along with a little bit of security, The club looks to be in a good shape at the moment and I’m looking forward to hopefully adding to that feel good factor’.
