Leyton Orient have announced the appointment of Danny Macklin as new Chief Executive Officer reporting to the Board of Directors.

Macklin will be responsible for all administrative and commercial activities at the club, and will work alongside Director of Football Martin Ling.




With over seven years’ experience working as Commercial Director at Essex County Cricket Club, Macklin has spent the past two years at Southend United where he originally joined as Commercial Director before additionally taking on many CEO responsibilities throughout the past year.

Macklin is expected to formally join the club mid-November, and until then Board member Marshall Taylor will continue to act as Interim Chief Executive.

Speaking on the appointment, Club Chairman Nigel Travis said; “Danny impressed us consistently throughout his interviews and we believe his sports experience will add considerably to our capabilities at Leyton Orient.”
