AFC Wimbledon have announced they have received over 80 applicants for the managerial role following Neal Ardley’s departure last week.
The club have said they are holding preliminary interviews with suitable applicants in the next few days.
Touted contenders for the role at these early stages are Wally Downes, Lee Clark, Tim Sherwood, Brian McDermott and Ian Holloway.
One name that won’t be taking charge at The Cherry Red Records Stadium is that of Justin Edniburgh. The Leyton Orient manager ruled himself out of the running declaring he’s happy at the O’s.
