Whitehawk have confirmed the signing of Midfielder Alex Osborn from National League South side Margate FC.

The deal, although reported on social media as being completed on Friday, was actually finalised on Saturday morning and it sees Alex rejoin the Hawks following a 2 month loan spell last season.

Osborn joined The Gate in Summer 2016 after 2 years with Ebbsfleet United, signing permanently following a loan from Dagenham and Redbridge.

After struggling to get chances in the first team, he had loan spells during the 15/16 season with Hayes and Yeading United, Maidstone United and Concord Rangers, as well as a spell at The Enclosed Ground, helping us to a top 5 finish by sealing a playoff place on the final day of the season.

He featured as a regular for Margate during his short spell with the Thanet based side, he final appearance coming in a 2-1 defeat away against Eastbourne Borough only 4 days ago (22nd November). In that game, he picked up a leg injury and as a result he wasn’t able to feature for The Hawks in their 1-1 FA Trophy draw against St Albans City.
