Wayne Benn has been named the new manager of Ossett United.
The 43-year-old resigned yesterday from his role at Hemsworth Miners Welfare, a club he has taken from the NCEL First Division to third in the Premier.
The former Bradford City prospect made more than 400 appearances for Bradford (Park Avenue), later becoming assistant at both Avenue and Guiseley. He became Hemsworth boss on two occasions, with a spell at Goole in between.
He takes over an Ossett side currently 19th in the BetVictor Northern Premier League North West Division, replacing former Sunderland player Andy Welsh, who recently resigned.
