Ossett United say they are in favour of a null and void outcome for the current Northern Premier League North West Division season.

The team are currently bottom of the table after eight of their games.

With clubs’ thoughts on the outcome of the season being sought by The FA, chairman James Rogers said as part of a statement:

“The board of Ossett United recognise the significant challenges currently being presented by COVID and can’t see a position where the current season can reasonably be completed in an appropriate timescale, and therefore, we are supportive of nulling and voiding the current season.

“Our view on this would only change if things improved drastically and restrictions significantly reduced, allowing us to be financially resilient, although in all honesty, we can’t see this happening any time soon.”
