Head coach Gary Owers shared his praise for fans and his players after Torquay United had kept their National League survival hopes alive with a 1-0 win over FC Halifax Town.
“I want to say ‘Thankyou’ to the supporters for getting behind us again and staying with us, but I also want to say ‘Thankyou’ to the players – they were under real pressure today, but they handled it well and controlled the game.
“We are still in there fighting, and now we go to Hartlepool next Saturday and see what we can do there.
“However things panned out today, the only outcome that would have done for us was a win and we got it.”
