Oxford City have completed the loan signing of goalkeeper Harry Isted from Championship side Luton Town this afternoon on an initial one-month deal.
Isted joins the Hoops in order to provide cover following the injury to regular goalkeeper and ex-Hatter Craig King, who was withdrawn at half-time on Saturday following his knee injury.
The young goalkeeper has made a couple of EFL Trophy appearances for his parent club last year, and was actually used as second-choice keeper behind James Shea in Luton’s League One-winning side in 2018/19.
He started off his career at Southampton, before moving to Stoke City, where he remained until he joined Luton Town in August 2017. He joined Chesham United on loan from the Hatters in early 2018, where he played seven matches before his return to Luton.
Isted joins up with the City squad immediately and will be available for selection in tonight’s match against Weymouth at Marsh Lane.
