Oxford City have signed defender Finn Tapp, who joins as a free agent following a year as a professional at Milton Keynes Dons.
Tapp has been involved in all three of City’s pre-season friendlies so far as a trialist and has impressed in his favoured centre-back position against two League One opponents in Oxford United and former club MK Dons, and also Thame United on Tuesday evening.
Despite not making a league appearance for the Dons, he made one League Cup appearance last campaign, before moving to Staines Town on loan, where he made nine appearances, scoring two goals.
City boss Mark Jones has been very impressed with Tapp in pre-season:
“We’ve been impressed with how Finn has performed in training since he’s joined us on trial, and has also done well in all three pre-season games so far. He’s only 19-years-old and already has a lot of the attributes that you want from a centre-back and can also play right-back.”
