Stefan Brown is hoping to emulate his Emirates FA Cup first round feat of eight years ago should he get the nod to lead the Oxford City attack tomorrow afternoon.

The striker is relishing the chance to again make a name for himself when Solihull Moors visit Court Place Farm.

Brown was nominated as the player of the round when he came off the bench as a 21-year-old student to score a FA Cup record hat-trick in just 15 minutes when his former club AFC Totton knocked out Bradford Park Avenue in November 2011.

The 29-year-old, who joined City from Wealdstone at the start of the season, has seen most of his campaign blighted by injury.

But after scoring twice in last week’s thrilling 4-4 draw at Tonbridge Angels, Brown is hoping his luck has turned.

“It’s been a tough season for me so far, but to be back in time to play in this big game is brilliant,” he said.

“I can’t wait to get going.”
