Tom Palmer admitted he was ‘buzzing’ to make his Kidderminster Harriers first team debut in the Buildbase FA Trophy win over Lincoln United at Aggborough.

The Harriers Academy goalkeeper was given the last eight minutes to play of the 3-1 win against the Whites.

Having been a regular amongst the subs this season, it was the next milestone for the confident youngster who has also been a big part of an unbeaten beginning to the National League U19 Alliance campaign.

He spoke after the full time whistle and said: “I am really happy to make my debut and we’re buzzing to be in the next round.

“I was disappointed to concede the goal but that happens and you just have to move on – the main thing is that we made it into the next round.

“[The possibility of coming on] was mentioned in the warm-up but I didn’t know until about an hour in and that gave me chance to warm up.

“I am very grateful and very happy.

“I was able ease my way into the game and make that first save… you have to adapt as quickly as you can.

“It was a good result in the end.”
