Handsworth Parramore have confirmed the prized capture of striker Ant Wilson.
28 year old Wilson has today signed for the Ambers following his release from Vanarama National North side Gainsborough Trinity.
The Sheffield born star has had a prolific non league career in the higher echelons of the pyramid, Starting life as a youngster at Hallam FC he moved to Belper Town and his spell a the Nailers earned him move to then Conference side Alfreton Town after a successful three year stint the forward moved Conference North side North Ferriby who sold the striker to Barrow for an undisclosed fee in July 2014, he signed for Gainsborough on November of Last year.
When learning of Ant’s availability the Ambers moved quickly to secure the services of the player who is a centre forward in the old fashioned mould, strong and bustling, difficult to shake off the ball with quick feet also and an excellent goals per game ratio.
Wilson said of his move to the Ambers “I’m really happy to have signed for Handsworth, they are a very ambitious club with a great reputation, it’s a fantastic opportunity for me to come into a well run club who are challenging for honours, I know a number of the lads in what is a very strong squad and to be honest can’t wait to get started, I’ve signed to the end of the season and we’ll see where it takes me and the club”
Ambers Manager Mick Godber said on the signing “ Ant is a great signing for us, he is a quality player with a excellent record in higher leagues, we’ve done a deal to the end of the season and his arrival will add real quality and competition into what is already a great group of players”
