Patience has paid off after Nuneaton Town finally completed the signing of hot prospect, Brady Hickey from Barwell.
The youngster has been in impressive form over the past two seasons after joining Barwell from St. Andrews.
His progression has been such that numerous Football League clubs have been monitoring him, whilst he has also been on trial with Leicester City.
“Brady is a player that has been on my personal radar and also the club’s radar for two years,” admitted Boro boss, Tommy Wright. “He’s scored 20+ goals over back-to-back seasons and is one of the most highly-rated prospects in non-League football.
“He is a great addition to the squad and arrives here with plenty of belief in his own ability.
“I am sure that he will flourish with us; he’s been linked with Premier League and Football League clubs and will be focussing on adapting to full-time football with us in order to achieve his goals and career ambitions.
“Once again I would like to thank the Chairman for making this deal happen.”
Hickey commented “I’ve seen the quality of the signings coming in and also the talent already at the club, and that was key to me deciding to come here,”
“Being around such quality and in what is an extremely positive environment will only help me improve as a player.
“I’m really excited by this move and I just can’t wait to get started now.
“This is going to be a step up in standard for me but it is a challenge that I am ready for at this stage in my career.
“There is no reason why we can’t be up there amongst the leading pack this season. As I say, we certainly have the ability here and a real platform to progress.”
