Alnwick Town have confirmed the resignation of manager Stephen Patterson.
The Northern Football Alliance Premier Division club say: “Stephen has led the side since December 2019 and oversaw guiding the team to a positive end to last year’s campaign that included three successive home victories. In a difficult year due to a number of national lockdowns as a result of the coronavirus pandemic, Patterson has continued his work into the current campaign, working with our very young squad.
“The 30-year-old has taken the decision to step down but will resume his previous role within the club’s Senior Development Squad going forward. We are delighted to retain Stephen in the club and look forward to seeing him continue his and his fellow coaches’ positive work.
